How to participate

​

Its is a complicated two step process;

Design something and share it via Instagram or email

​

All you have to do is create a new image with a single Sinhala character

or a word or share something you have already done on Sinhala letters.

Try to represent the characters from a different perspective, nobody is watching over your shoulder, Go crazy!

Once you are happy with your work format it to;

Image size:  1080px x 1080px

Resolution: high quality

Don’t put anything else on the image; Like this

Upload it to your Instagram

​

​

If you have a story behind your work which you would like to share, make sure to mention it in your post caption (keep it up to maximum 100 words).

 

Tag our instagram profiles @letters.lanka  and @typography.lk

on the image and use hashtags #letterslanka and #submission so

we know that you want us to repost.

 

Not on Instagram?

No worries you can still participate.

All you have to do is send us your submissions through

our facebook.com/akuruCollective page ,

along with your name and the art work description.

Few tips

​

Feel free to incorporate your style of doing things,

we are going for variety

Use colors, illustrations and imagery following  your style

• ​

Avoid using existing fonts without any additions or modifications

• ​

Use a single character or single word per post

• ​

Use any medium you like (collage, photographs etc.)

• ​

It is a shame not  to photograph your amazing work  properly:

If you are photographing your work, please make sure it is high resolution

and properly lit. See this for reference

If you have a story behind your design which you would like to share,

make sure you have mentioned it along with your post caption

(keep it up to maximum 100 words)
